We have been singing and playing together for many a happy year and have a growing reputation for performing some of the great songs inspired by the so-called “Folk Revival” of the 60s – reserving the right to wander far and wide as well!

Chris and Paul Woodhouse

Chris and Paul Woodhouse

From Tom Paxton, Phil Ochs and Bob Dylan to Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot and Ralph McTell -  songs that have stood the test of time. Timeless themes of love, loss, friendship and hope are mixed with songs expressing social and political concern.
We have now had 4 successful gigs at the Blue Walnut Cafe in Chelston Torquay, the Torquay arts cafe famous for its promotion of acoustic music. We hope to be invited back there again before too long.

Meanwhile we have played at Ryan’s Bar, Torquay, twice and had a great gig at Lupton House, Churston Ferrars. We have other local gigs lined up and hope that the CD we have made will help us spread our wings a bit further afield.

In October 2012, we were invited to be part of the charity Oxjam event –  a 5 venue festival in Torquay called “Torquay Takeover”.  We played a half hour set at the Offshore Bar (a top live music venue)  and got some great feedback – especially Chris who wowed the crowd with her version of House of the Rising Sun.

We both have a repertoire of memorable solos, which Paul accompanies on acoustic guitar, but we also blend our voices together in duets, such as “If You Could Read My Mind Love” and “California Dreaming”.

We have our own PA system suitable for medium-sized venues. This has now been upgraded to a seriously powerful monster!
